FORMULASI SIRUP ANTIOKSIDAN DARI KOMBINASI KAYU SECANG (Caesalpinia sappan) DAN TEMU PUTIH (Curcumma mangga Val)

چکیده

Stress oksidatif adalah kondisi dimana keseimbangan antara oksidan dan antioksidan di dalam tubuh mengalami pergeseran, stress dapat mengakibatkan banyak penyakit seperti kanker, asteroklerosis, hipertensi iskemia diabetes. secara efektif dinetralisir dengan meningkatkan pertahanan selular bentuk antioksidan. Indonesia memiliki berbagai potensi tanaman obat yang kaya akan kandungan antioksidan, diantaranya kayu secang (Caesalpinia sappan) temu putih (Curcumma mangga Val). Pada penelitian ini dikombinasikan variasi kombinasi diolah menjadi sirup dievaluasi mutunya fisika, kimia hedonik, serta aktivitas antioksidannya menggunakan metode 2,2’-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH). Berdasarkan hasil formula 1 masing sebesar 15% memberikan terbesar nilai IC50 11,298 μg/ml.

Caesalpinia span heartwood is used in folklore in India. The present work attempts to summarize the pharmacognostical characters of the heartwood of this plant.
